All systems go at South East Water Choice as new water market opens for business
It’s been billed as the greatest shake up of the water industry for a generation and it’s happening from 1 April, 2017.
From that date, non-household customers will have the freedom to shop around for their water and wastewater retailer.
And South East Water is ready to meet the challenge with team dedicated to offering South East Water’s 55,000 business customers the very best of service.
Managing Director, James Dubois, leads the team under a new brand, South East Water Choice.
Sitting in the middle of the whole market will be an organisation called MOSL, which stands for Market Operator Services Ltd. That company is the market operator and it provides the core IT systems that will enable registration, customer switching and settlement between wholesalers and retailers.
The government’s aim in opening the market is to drive down prices and improve customer service, from the smallest to the largest business customers.
South East Water Choice will offer all their customers a dual water and wastewater service with the convenience on one bill, one payment and one point of contact.
